Description
Most clients obsess over the aesthetic front side of the body, leaving the posterior chain under trained. The back line provides power behind primal movements, strength to maintain efficient posture, and function necessary for activities of daily living. In this thought-provoking workshop you will learn a multitude of exercises to effectively activate the posterior line and promote better movement quality.
Equipment: BOSU® Balance Trainer 1:1, BOSU® Ballast® Ball 1:1 & BOSU® Core Sliders 2:1
NOTE: THIS WORKSHOP DOES NOT GRANT CEC'S
For the best experience we recommend:
- Using a genuine BOSU® Balance Trainer (any generation) & Ballast® Ball - both which include unique and patented features - substitutes may not allow the same results
- Wearing gym shoes, minimal shoes or non-slip/gripped socks
- Having a towel handy to wipe sweat or water from surface of Balance Trainer to prevent slipping and avoid potential injury
- Option to use a different brand of sliders/gliders or paper plates instead of BOSU® Core Sliders
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this Workshop, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the posterior line muscles and their actions during active daily living
- Explain and demonstrate three 'must-have' movements per muscle group in the posterior line that promote better posture
- Identify compensatory movements that may be caused by an under-active posterior line
- Demonstrate how to use multiple BOSU® products to train the posterior chain with progressions and regressions for varied levels of fitness
- Cue effectively to maximize the posterior line training experience for each participant
