Equipment: BOSU® Ballast® Ball 1:1 (or any stability/swiss ball) & Exercise Mat

For the best experience we recommend:

  • Using a genuine BOSU® Ballast Ball which includes proprietary material that creates a dynamic load allowing visual, auditory & weighted feedback - substitutes may not allow the same results
  • Wearing gym shoes, minimal shoes or non-slip/gripped socks
  • Having a towel handy to wipe sweat or water from surface of Ballast Ball to prevent slipping and avoid potential injury

Learning Objectives

  1. Discuss the history and benefits of stability ball training
  2. Explain how a multi-dimensional load can be used for both stabilizing and dynamic exercises
  3. Demonstrate stability ball skills and movement patterns that challenge strength, core, stability and mobility
  4. Understand how the dynamic load in the BOSU Ballast Ball can be used for visual and auditory feedback
  5. Effectively coach or teach all of the stability ball skills and variations with progressions and regressions for a variety of fitness levels
