In the first installment of this series, discover the benefits of Metabolic Conditioning (MetCon), then take a deeper dive into the strategies of the EMOM methods. The 'Every Minute On the Minute' MetCon protocol is fun, fast moving and challenging when needed...but easily adaptable to all fitness levels for maximal results. Utilizing the BOSU® Balance Trainer along with the innovative BOSU® Surge Hydro Trainer, create content that's focused, productive and functional to improve life and sport activities!

Equipment: BOSU® Balance Trainer 1:1 & BOSU® Surge Hydro Trainer 1:1 (Surge40 or Surge60 size)

NOTE: THIS WORKSHOP DOES NOT GRANT CEC'S

For the best experience we recommend:

  • Using a genuine BOSU® Balance Trainer & BOSU® Surge (any generation), both of which include unique and patented features - substitutes may not allow the same results
  • Wearing gym shoes or minimal shoes
  • Having a towel handy to wipe sweat or water from surface of Balance Trainer or Surge to prevent slipping and avoid potential injury

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this Workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Define Metabolic Conditioning (MetCon) and its effect on the human body
  • Discuss the EMOM protocol as a form of MetCon and its adaptability to all fitness levels
  • Understand the considerations needed for programming MetCon in both the Group Exercise and Personal Training setting
  • Learn basic use and benefits of the BOSU® Balance Trainer and BOSU® Surge for effective fitness improvement within this format
  • Demonstrate a myriad of exercises targeting multiple muscle groups using both BOSU® tools in 5 different EMOM blocks that are challenging yet result-based
  • Cue effectively to progress and regress each exercise for varied levels of fitness
  • Create a limitless amount of programming utilizing the EMOM protocol
